It has taken me a few months to finally post up information and photographs one of the most beautiful exhibits from Cersaie: Wonderwall by Cotto d’Este. I hope you will think it was worth the wait.
This concept comprises twelve different figurative works of art printed on to the blank canvas of 1,000 by 3,000mm ultra-thin Kerlite slabs. These multi-panel designs share a restful vibe, and are genuinely things of great and unusual beauty and charm.
To the best of my knowledge this is the first time that a collection of artistic wall decorations have been released on an ultra-thin porcelain tile. The result are a series of elegant and eminently livable feature walls the deliver designs that can transform the spaces in which we live in a magical and exciting way. Each of the twelve decorations offer deep textures and are printed in high definition.
Kerlite, in case you are not familiar with Laminam technology, are large 1 by 3 metre stoneware slabs, reinforced with an adhered fibreglass mesh. They are thin, lightweight and bendable, while also being strong and resistant to humidity; making them perfect for interior design projects seeking an unusual yet prestigious look.
Cotto d’Este is the luxury brand of Panariagroup Industrie Ceramiche spa, a leading Italian manufacturer of wall and floor tiles, owned by the Mussini family.
