At Clerkenwell Design Week in May, the trend-setting distributor Domus hosted the UK launch of Weave from Kaza Concrete at its EC1 showroom.
Designed by award-winning Swedish-based collective Note Design Studio, Weave is a new 3D tile from Kaza Concrete. Made from specially-formulated concrete, perhaps best described as ‘liquid stone’, it is available in three unique tessellating patterns: Maldives, Kalahari and flat piece. Each pattern can be used individually or combined, allowing stunning customised design schemes to be created.
Weave is simple in structure and repetitive in form. The undulating rhythmic imagery created by sand dunes and traditional weaving techniques are the inspiration for the graceful contour. The tiles are available in 24 base colours in both matt and gloss finishes, and an additional six metallic colours.
Weave is the latest addition to the Kaza Concrete range available at Domus. Striking an impeccable balance between artistry and technology, Kaza Concrete incorporates tactile 3D elements for bold accent walls, small and large, sensitively balancing style and innovation for luxury commercial interiors.
If you visit Domus’ Clerkenwell Showroom – and it is a must-visit location for any self-respecting UK architect or interior designer – do pop outsode into the company’s quiet courtyard where you can see Domus’s Kaza Weave wall installation up close. Very impressive!

Hi I saw an article you’d done about my mosaic artwork at the weekend.
I contacted BAL as noticed the advertising on your article was promoting Bal products so I contacted them as thought they’d issued the article (I used their adhesive), though the article did not mention my web address which they have agreed by email to put on any articles using my images, if they have had permission to use my images from me. Unfortunately that’s a very old Web address used on the article.
Bal emailed today to say that it’s not their article, it’s a blogger, so I’m contacting you asking to put my correct Web address on the issue with my work so that people can find me. It’s really helpful to me. Please forward me articles as I can share further with my contacts as I have a big social media following.

Sorry to be so slow in getting back to you. I have updated the web address on the original post and would welcome any news of future mosaic projects, etc, going forward.
