Pure and luminous colours made room for a new palette with depth of meaning, when Decortiles set out its stall at Revestir back in March. Decortiles aims to go beyond mere decoration, and develop cutting-edge and exclusive tiles that combine advanced production and decoration technology with beauty of the hand-crafted.
So it is significant that this leading Brazilian tile manufacturer chose Figo as its tone to brighten up the decoration during the next seasons. Figo is a blend of romantic and nostalgic rose, with crude and dramatic black. The colour permeates the brand’s new collections for 2017, bringing versatility and elegance in pink and lilac pinches that hint of a warm atmosphere. In addition, Figo is the perfect complement to the greys and blacks that are the backdrop to so many contemporary projects.
It is a colour that provokes a sense of multiplicity, has no obvious gender definition, stimulates interior creativity and has a somewhat timeless look. With Decortiles, Figo also crops up in some unexpected materials, like cement.
The recent success of the 100 by 200mm Beatles range has driven a new colour palette for 2017. In addition to the Figo, Beatles is also now available in more sober colours, such as urban and mysterious touches of grey.
Brise is a range that pays homage to the beauty and purity of materials. Manufactured in a 450 by 900mm format, Brise’s Figo version complements more sober interiors.
Perhaps the most surprising impact came when Figo tone met the Flow collection inspired by abstract art. Its patterns blend past and present references with a mixture of techniques that refer to the old surface effects of hand-crafted ceramics with modern and geometric lines. It comes in 200 by 200mm.
Patch Glass is a range that offers an enigmatic array of golden dots. The Figo variant brings out the range’s luminosity and marks a new decorative style: luxurious and sophisticated. It also comes in 200 by 200mm.
Finally, the Ametista (pictured) and Trapezio cement patterns of the Urban Shapes range are also now available in a Figo version. The imposing and striking reliefs of this range bring volume and surface relief. Ametista comes in 600 by 600mm; while the Trapezio option is available in 260 by 600mm.
