Designed by the Greek studio Koutras Konstantinos, Ketchup is a small establishment full of freshness located in the summer party capital of Xanthi in northern Greece.

For the restaurant’s bold staging, Koutras Konstantinos specified the outstanding Strand porcelain wood range from Vives.  The 593 by 593mm. tiles have been used in a  combination of different prints and colours in a very colourful and creative way to achieve an attractive and highly original look.

The small size of the establishment has not been an impediment to the creation of a space with great personality.  Here the lack of decorative elements is more than compensated by the Seriaki-R (Green, Red, Black, White) and Nenets-R (White) tiles, which cover all the project’s surfaces, from the kitchen to the commercial area.  The contrast between the OSB aesthetics and the striking colours leaves an indelible impression on all of Ketchup’s customers.

Here the new indoor architecture trend towards the ‘used’ aesthetic is given a fashionable and edgy expression.  Strand is a design inspired by OSB (oriented strand board); a paneling material – also known as flakeboard, sterling board and aspenite – made from recycled wood shavings.

Increasingly popularity in interior design, it can be seen in all kinds of furniture and decorative elements.  With this range Vives has adapted this aesthetic concept to create a truly original range of wall tiles and floor tiles, adding the technical advantages of modern tiles without compromising any aesthetic appeal.

Strand is a wood-effect porcelain range in a matt finish that comes in two rectified formats: 593 by 593mm and 593 by 1,193mm.  Strand-R in 593 by 593mm comes in six different neutral tones (natural, white, grey, hazelnut, cement, and blue).  The 593 by 1,193mm format is only offered in natural.

Masai-R Natural (593 by 593mm) is a delicate scenery patchwork where subtle black lines are combined in different fresh designs.  The Seriaki-R and Nenets-R designs (both in 593 by 593mm) introduce more colourful styles (white, black, red, green, yellow, cement, grey, blue, and hazel) in designs that seem to be painted on each tile. Simple graphics allow interior designers to create energetic and colourful atmospheres.

To complete the range, in 593 by 1,193mm format, Telegú-R Natural and Cornish-R Natural are pieces decorated in romantic tones for fresh, comfortable, on-trend spaces.
