The fabric-effect tile trend, which leapt to the fore in 2016, was surprisingly less prominent at last week’s Cersaie.  Perthaps that is because the other manufacturers have witness the evolution of Ceramica Sant’Agostino sublime ‘tailoring’ … and simply thrown in the towel.  Starting with TailorArt, Sant’Agostino has led the way in fabric-effect tiles, and this year’s Cersaie offer was no exception.

Already the pioneer and leader of this  trend in ceramic surfaces, which it took a step further with DigitalArt at Coverings 2017 – Sant’Agostiono has moved even further ahead of the field with FineArt.

Fine texture, soft tones, delicate colours, small 200 by 200mm sizes, and subtle yet modern decors, make this an elegant, sophisticated and versatile collection that is tailor-made for any domestic space, as well as commercial applications such as hotels and retail boutiques.

The porcelain stoneware tiles have a subtly structured fabric finish and are avalable in Ecru, Grey, Pearl, Sand and White colour optiuons.  There are four formats – 900 by 900, 600 by 600, 300 by 600, and 200 by 200mm – all 10mm thick.  The tiles are rectified and have a matt finish.

A well-chosen range of decors, mosaics, and trims further extends the range’s design scope.  The woven-effect decor is particularly impressive; making FineArt the ultimate expression of the fabric-effect tile trend.
