Abitare la Terra (Living the Earth) is a project by designer and ceramist Maria Luisa Brighenti, whose tactile and innovative new products mark the launch of Cerasarda’s Design portfolio.
Abitare la Terra draws inspiration from the warm, rich and generous natural landscape of Sardinia, resulting in a collection characterised by chromatic colours enriched by contrasts, and inviting decorative textures.
These unusual ceramic materials marry craftsmanship – the artist’s hand-made work fits perfectly with Cerasarda’s production tradition – with the Romani Group’s more avantgarde technologies.
The collection is available in a large number of modular sizes, enhancing the design options when tiling both floors and walls.
Abitare la Terra aims to satisfy the requirements of an international audience of designers, interior architects and home owners seeking authentic materials for contemporary living spaces.
Complementing Abitare la Terra is Accento: a range offering saturated, brilliant colours, that is characterised by the contrast between the thick coloured glass surface and the satin-finish base tones. Accento, as the name suggests, provides accent colours in rooms furnished with the chromatic tones of Abitare la Terra. It can also be used as a collection in its own right for surfaces requiring a strong, bold character.
Abitare la Terra is a porcelain stoneware range that comes in Barbagia: six tones of green, Ogliastra: six tones of blue, Bosa: six tones of clay, Sulcis: two blacks and four tones of grey, and three whites.
The format options are 800 by 800, 400 by 800, 400 by 400, 200 by 800, 65 by 800, and 650 by 400mm; plus 65 by 65mm mosiac on 200 by 200mm mesh-backed sheets. Double-fired white body tiles are also available in 200 by 200, 65 by 200 and 65 by 65mm mosaic on 200 by 200mm mesh-backed sheets.
Accento is a split and tumbled glazed porcelain stoneware range, available in Bianco, Mimosa, Mandarino, Arancione, Lavanda, Celeste, Indaco, Blu, Verde, and Nero colour options.
Accento comes as 65 by 65 and 32 by 32mm mosaic on 200 by 200mm mesh-backed sheets. There are two décor options: Rodo and Tracce.
