Certainly the brand’s current portfolio echoes a multiplicity of materials and fuses many design ideas to create an eclectic product mix. The portfolio brings together natural elements, such as stone and wood, with man-made materials such as lacquer and cement.

The key to the range’s impact lies in the duality between the brutal and the delicate. This, together with a multiplicity of surfaces, formats, and finishes, including on-trend sober tones of grey, black, and white, results in a range that both excites and offers clear commercial potential.

Inspired by the woven linen, Craft prints a simple and refined aesthetic on the surface of porcelain tiles. The textures of the fabrics combine well with Off White and Olive tones and make the most of the 1,200 by 2,400mm (48” by 96”) format.

Also in the same large format, the Craft Woods range offers genuine timber sensations combined the feeling generated by seeing the watercolor brushstrokes of a landscape painting.

Dark Noir by Decortiles

Picking up on this season’s interest in dramatic stone-effects, the Dark Noir porcelain range was inspired by the elegance of Sahara Noir stone, one of nature’s noblest marbles. The delicate graphic of rich white veins on a total black base creates an intense chromatic harmony. It is available in both a high gloss polished finish, and an opulent satin polished option. This elegant matt-effect creates more depth and enhances Dark Noir’s complex design. It comes in two formats: 1,200 by 2,400mm (48” by 96”) and 1,200 by 1,200mm (48” by 48”).

Lacquer, much used in oriental furniture, has been an emerging design direction for tiles in 2017. With minimalist colour and subtle texture, the new Lacquer range’s surface projects traces of time across these 900 by 900mm (36” by 36”) tiles.

Haus by Decortiles

Inspired by the cement deck of beach at Rimini on the Italian Adriatic Sea, Haus is another range that bears the marks of its past; here in a graphic simulation of salt-water corrosion. In the piece, the essence of care-worn concrete in its purest and original form is realised in great detail by digital printing on these high performance porcelain tiles. As with so many top tile ranges today, here colour and texture come ever closer to reality. It is available in 600 by 1,200mm (24” by 48”)

It comes in 590 by 1,182mm (24” by 48”).

Decortiles also has much to offer in small format wall tiles. Updating the brick-look with new interpretations, colours and shapes, Neobrick is a contemporary and striking range offering a wide variety of effects and textures in a rich range of greys and blacks. The new collection also features hand-crafted touches that elevate it beyond most 100 by 200mm (4” by 8”) alternatives.

Figo is the tone Decortiles has selected to add impact to interiors. It is a blend of romantic and nostalgic rose, with dramatic black. The colour permeates the brand’s 2017 collections, bringing versatility and elegance, in pink and lilac pinches that hint to a warm atmosphere. In addition, Figo is the perfect complement to the greys and blacks that are the backdrop to so many contemporary projects.

Brise, a 450 by 900mm (18” by 36”) tile that praises the beauty and purity of the materials, also now has a Figo version to complement a more sober decoration.

Flow in Figo by Decortiles

Perhaps most striking of all is when the Figo tone meets the Flow range that has abstract art as its point of departure. Its patterns blend past and present; and also reference a mixture of techniques that recall the surface effects of hand-crafted ceramics but combine them with modern and geometric lines in a 200 by 200mm (8” by 8”) tile.  Patch Glass, a range features the Figo hue with metallic gold; adding a new layer of sophistication and exclusivity.
