Welcoming Wheat

Something very short and simple today.  I have spent the past few days looking back on the mountain of information I sourced at Cersaie, Cevisama, Revestir and Coverings, seeking out any new designs that had slipped through the net.

And I was reacquainted with Wheat by Iris Ceramica.  As the trend for smaller formats gathers pace, this 100 by 300mm wall tile range, 7mm thick, surely deserves a mention.  I was particularly taken by the colour balance and tonal variety of this rustic design.  It offers a very restful and human look; one that should work harmoniously with a large strand of current interior design.   There are just two colour options: Wheat Blue and Wheat Brown.

Iris Ceramica claims that Wheat offers: “uncontaminated places, where enthusiasm and emotion are the keywords, formed by multiple faces in two different colours: Brown and Blue.”  I have to say that this, pretty much, hits the nail on the head.

Among the images shown here, the one with the wooden kitchen worktop features 100 by 300mm Wheat Brown and 100 by 200mm Lol White wall tiles, set against Avenue XXL floor tiles in Amber Naturale.  The photograph with the anglepoise lamp and bedside table features 100 by 300mm Wheat Blue set against Avenue XXL floor tiles in Plumb Naturale.  Works for me.
