With Coverings cancelled due to the Coronavirus epidemic, and face-to-face meetings now out of the question, we have opened Diary of a Tile Addict up to selected tile manufacturers to keep the flow of tile information going world-wide. Known and trusted tile brands have been offered one FREE post during an initial three month trial, covering April, May, and June 2020.
Next up in these selected posts is from Italian tile favourites ABK and their new Atlantis collection. This unique surface is a volcanic vision, neutral but complex with varied veins and natural, dusty shades. The result is a highly effective, realistic look that is distinctive and pleasing.
Four finishes are offered: natural (which provides a contemporary look), lapped (which delves into the elegant), hammered (a digital reproduction of the manual stoneworking technique), and the non-slip R11 grip finish version (which is essential for outdoor applications, and is available in both 9 mm and 20 mm thicknesses).
Atlantis is suitable for a variety of applications, inlcuding countertops and furniture units, as well as, of course, floors and walls. Providing an organic aesthetic, the collection is able to offer atmosphere along with its natural take on industrial chic.
