Industrial ICE Café Coverings

The revolutionary ultra-compact surface, Dekton® by Cosentino has been specified at the eclectic ICE Café in Suffolk. Opened in 2019 by John and Lou Jackaman, owners of ICE Cookery School and Infusions4chefs, the ICE Café takes pride in its unsual interior.

The space has an industrial appeal, with a large graffiti mural of music legends on the back wall and wood and metal features. The ICE Café’s bar area is kitted out with Dekton® surfaces, fabricated by Marchetti Stone and produced using up to 80% recycled materials. Dekton® Trilium and Dekton® Radium were chosen for their industrial looks and irregular marking

Dekton® Trilium haves a volanic-inspired look with black and grey elements whilst Dekton® Radium channels rust with an acid-washed steel look that combines orange-browns with cool blues and greens. Both offer a matte finish, with an enigmatic appearance that varies in the light.

The surfaces have a high resistance to UV rays, scratches, stains and thermal shock, and very low water absorption, making them ideal for worktops and commerical locations. Dekton® Trilium is also now available in Dekton® 4mm Slim, which combines the technical and mechanical features that Dekton® is known for with a much thinner (4mm), lighter (10 kg/m2), and manageable format for installation – ideal for wall, door and furniture cladding.
