Cyberspace Curiosities VII

The curiousities continue with July’s edition. We’ve got colour, shape, and some weirdly wonderful designs.

1) VP12830

This curious wibbly sea kelp style tile from Ceramica Pinto is fun, fresh, and extremely unusual. The marks of the artist are present in the paint strokes adding even more personality to the tiles.

2) Harlequin Handmade Tropical

Found on Etsy, these wonderfully colourful handmade terrazzo style speckled tiles are made by DimitraTsourdini and offer up a joyful colour burst in red, green, yellow, and blue.

3) Ricetta

These reworked terrazzo tiles from Ape Grupo offer direction amongst the flecks in the form of bold arrows. Pointing randomly these arrows are delightfully decorative for spaces in need of subtle whimsy.

4) Granny Squares

This awesome collection from Clรฉ Tile is a dose of crocheting in the most stylish way possible. Teal and terracotta tones mix with black, white, and taro in an unusual sprawling shape. The colours are mixed and matched throughout the shape to create a fabulous patchwork with incredible presence.

5) Fruit Salad

A delicious collection of abstract mix and match hexagonal tiles, Fruit Salad from Thatcher Studio is a beautiful burst of rich colour. Despite being made up of only two random designs in two colourways, this small collection feels big thanks to the variety achieved mixing and matching.
