2025 was a record year for Brazilian stone

The Brazilian natural stone industry achieved US$1.48 billion in exports in 2025, an increase of 17.5% in revenue compared to 2024. This result surpasses the previous record, registered in 2021, claims the Brazilian Natural Stone Association (Centrorochas).

There were also advances in the volume exported. In 2025, foreign sales totalled 2.11 million metric tons, up 2.9% on the previous year. The average export price was also 14.2% higher than 2024.

“The figures are impressive, especially considering they were achieved during a challenging year, marked by the tariff hike, which caused significant decreases in exports of granite, marble and slate. If the sales performance of these materials had remained the same as the first half of the year, the industry could have reached revenues close to US$1.6 billion in 2025,” said Tales Machado, President, Centrorochas.

In 2025, the USA was the main destination for Brazilian natural stone in 2025, accounting for 53.6% of exports.  China had a 17.5% share, up 19.0%; while sales to Italy reached US$117.7 million, up 42.2% year-on-year.

Mexico, UK, and Spain were the other three main markets, reaffirming the geographical diversification of Brazilian stone exports.
