Cement, being a plastic, versatile material characterized by a minimalist elegance, is a staple of modern architecture. At Coverings 2018, Gruppo Romani brand, CIR will present a version of this material that claims will offer a new inspirational concept that transcends its essential style to turn it into a glamorous product. The new range, called Revolution, has three design strands: Cemento, Marmette and Maioliche. It is offered in a wide range of formats, colours and patterns to enable each architectural space, whether residential or public, to be designed in an original manner.
Cemento is offered in the traditional sizes and an elegant 600 by 1,200mm polished variant, in Gesso, Greige, Cemento and Antracite colour. Marmette is available in an unusual 240 by 277mm hexagonal size, as well as 200 by 200mm. It comes in Bianco, Nero, Grigio, Visone, Bordeaux and Petrolio colour options. Added interest is provided by a basic tile with random decoration, created with third firing, that can be combined with all the colours to make a special detail. Finally, Maioliche comes in two surface options; while the elegant White and Cream colours are available in 100 by 100, 100 by 200 and 200 by 200mm formats.
