Two marble-effect designs from Italian brand Vallelunga & Co, that should have graced the exhibition hall in New Orleans last month, continue Diary of a Tile Addict’s cancelled Coverings curation.

Minimarmi fuses retro charm with contemporary appeal, drawing deeply on Vallelunga & Co’s artistic history. Presented as a decorative wall tile collection, Minimarmi features delicate graphics and colours, yet still has a strong personality. The refined diamond structure in a small 75 by 150mm format is emphasised by the geometric and romantic Bottoni and Trama decors, and also by the beauty of the Marmi and Asole luxe marble-effects.

Minimarmi is a white body single fired wall tile with natural edges. 8mm thick, it comes in a gloss finish, and can be paired with the large format marbles in Vallelunga & Co’s portfolio.

The second Vallelunga & Co range in Tile Addict’s spotlight is Nova. This is a very pure design, that generates a delicate atmosphere, largely through the apparent depth of the material’s vein pattern. Delivering another classic Italian marble-effect with a contemporary twist, Nova is available in a range of formats from 1,200 by 1,200mm, through 600 by 1,200, 600 by 600mm, and 300 by 600mm, as well as 100 by 200mm mosaics: all 10mm thick.

This rectified glazed porcelain range, is offered in both polished and satin finishes. The variety of formats, and the range of mosaics, make this a very versatile range for both wall and floor applications.
