Eleanor Meredith

Working from her studio in East Neuk of Fife in Scotland, Eleanor Meredith crafts wonderful watercolours, whimsical ceramic sculptures, artistic tableware, and bespoke tiles.

Ambiguous florals, sketched portraits, and playful colour bursts feature as decors throughout her creations. A family of patterned animals proudly wear these designs, amongst which you’ll be delighted to find wobbly lions, chunky penguins, leggy zebras, and adorably malformed leopards alongside grinning moths and lounging seals.

This joyful, unconventional style also graces her tiles, of which there are three options: handmade, pre-made, and decals. Meredith’s handmade tiles are created from scratch using terracotta or buff stoneware with decors added as slips or underglazes.

For an equally unique look but with increased uniformity, her pre-made options use bisque tiles, underglazed in her offbeat style. For larger pieces decals are used which can be fused to existing tiles for a seamless but effective look.
