Bikinis by Browne

Swimmers, skiers, and waddling penguins decorate the delightful, minimalist tiles of Alexandra Browne.

Colourful characters doing flips, speeding down slopes, and joyfully traversing snow feature across Browne’s Chatel tiles. Inspired by the French ski resort of the same name, each Chatel tile makes up a small part of a larger, playful scene where jolly skiers make their way across a large expanse of white.

With a similar feel in a much warmer climate, Browne’s Pampelonne series showcases numerous bathers soaking in the sun across the St Tropez coastline, lounging, cross-legged, or staring into the distance.

Originally designed for a children’s bathroom, her Baie series forms a mural of swimmers popping up at random amongst fine blue waves. Spy swimming caps and cossies as well as the occasional shark fin for a touch of whimsy.

Synchronised swimming makes for unexpected decor with Browne’s Aquabelle collection. Splits, dives, and starfish form repeat motifs, subtle but distinctive with an Art Deco effect from afar.

Finally, a huddle of penguins as well as the occasional straggler, parent, or slider feature across the Waddle tiles. Designed in simple black and white silhouettes, these tiles vary in levels of population for a mural as busy or sprawling as you like.
