We’ve gathered some delights in modern Delft, stepping away from tradition towards playful design, wondrous whimsy, and joyful nostalgia.
1) Petra Palumbo
Nostalgic Americana, cosy home goods, and whimsical depictions of tan lines and laundry, Petra Palumbo‘s Delft collection offers visuals for every occasion. Whether you’ve got the perfect spot for a runaway robot, want to set the scene with a sudsy sponge and stacked dishes, or long to share your kitchen with burger and fries decors, these unique tiles have you covered.

2) Haus of Lucy
Teletubby or tampon? Pot Noodle or Wotsits? Converse or Crocs? These are the questions we get to ask our selves with the joyfully silly Delft designs from Haus of Lucy. Icons like Tinky Winky or Fairy Liquid feature amongst her unique hand-painted tiles, whilst retro favourites form a polished selection of printed pieces.

3) The Switch + 72andSunny + Harlinger
Paying homage to traditional Delft depicting workers and artisans, Tiles of The Sun by The Switch, 72andSunny, and Harlinger feature solar panel installers, celebrating their contribution to a more sustainable future. These tiles were created to raise money for The Switch, a Dutch startup that seeks to train refugees for work in the renewable energy sector.

4) Moooi x Royal Delft
Inspired by beautiful drawings from The Museum of Extinct Animals, a unique collection from interiors brand Moooi and historic ceramics factory Royal Delft depicts eight creatures representing extinct species. Amongst these reside the dandelion crane, the dodo, the armoured boar, the dwarf rhino, and the golden tiger.
