Today’s tile theme may be unexpected, but after being asked on Instagram to find a bunch of interiors featuring nudes on tile I fell down a fun little rabbit hole. Surprisingly, some boob tiles have already featured across various articles but I had to find a few more to flesh out the list. So please enjoy this breast-taking selection!
1) Boobs à l’unité
From Tue L’Amour + Charity Action for César Bazaar, these limited edition boob tiles create a playful repeat pattern in romantic pinks. One design features a staggered duo, recognisable when laid vertically or forming a rounded landscape when horizontal. The other mimics classic cement patterns, subtly disguised but recognisable to the trained eye.

2) Nipple Tiles
These pieces from US artist Nicole Nadeau were one of the first ceramic curiosities we shared on Diary of a Tile Addict way back in 2016. Cast from a a single mould of her own breast, these 3D hexagonal tiles are glazed in white with rosy pink decorating the areola.

3) Pits
Designed by Joseph Motas for Bussoga, these bold yellow Ben Day dot tiles create endless Escher-esque columns of boobs, infinitely travelling from belly button to breast.

4) Boob Tile
Collaborating with boob-tastic Berlin-based artist Annique Delphine, these tiles from Neither Nor are designed as a “gentle reminder of the objectification of the female body and its effects on the daily feminine experience”. Each tile features a 3D boob in a traditional 100 by 100mm size to slot spectacularly into existing tile work, or to pair with plain tiles for a joyful accent.

5) Free the nipple
Breathing fresh, modern life into traditional Delft tiles, Max and Philippe of the Dutch Tile Project add contemporary objects to Delft’s classic blue and white. Amongst the cans of soup, classic cars, croissants, and Chewbacca, there is also the simple Bevrijd de tepel (free the nipple) design. A minimalist sketch displayed with or without corner decors does exactly what it says on the tin.
