Decocer is set to shine at Cersaie 2026 with Earth in Motion: a concept by architect Héctor Ruiz Velázquez that transforms small-format ceramics into architecture.  This project continues the award-winning theme presented at Cersaie in 2025 and Coverings in 2026.

While last year’s narrative explored the origins of ceramics – earth, clay and material – in 2026 it turns to transformation. The material folds, undulates, rises and generates space. Ceramics thus move beyond being understood as a surface to become skin, volume and architectural landscape.

Under the banner Small Size: Big Dreams Decocer will present three new ranges that use colour, relief, materiality, and a hand-crafted appearance to bring individuality and identity to interiors. With a focus on the creative possibilities of small format tiles, the exhibit demonstrates Decocer’s proven ability to develop bespoke ceramics; customising shapes, dimensions, colours, reliefs, and finishes to meet the particular needs of individual projects.

Earth in Motion takes shape as a large 3D envelope of curved lines, creating pathways, transparencies and shifting perspectives. The concept explores the idea of a vertical topography, as if the earth had been frozen in mid-movement. Through repetition, the small-format tiles acquire a new scale and become part of the very definition of the space, showing how ceramics can transcend their traditional function as a surface covering.

The colour palette reinforces this connection with the material. Terracottas, clays, siennas and fired -earth tones run throughout the pavilion, creating a warm, enveloping atmosphere, while the lighting accentuates textures, reliefs and finishes.

The interior combines areas designed to showcase the product with meeting and work spaces. Ceramics are integrated into surfaces and elements of the stand itself, taking small format from the scale of the individual piece to that of architecture.
