This week Tile Addict is taking a look at ten stunning new ranges from Ceramics of Italy members that we are likely to see next week at Coverings.
On today’s agenda are two companies playing with colour and texture to create their own disparate worlds with tile. Luci di Venezia from Decoratori Bassanesi is the new ceramic embodiment of the floating city of Venice.

The rich, historical atmosphere is represented on fine grade fully vitrified stoneware and the colour choices seek to capture the essence of “the poetry and light” of the city. The textured surface, metallics, and patterns create depth and a layered feel, much like one would experience walking through Venice itself.

Shape and texture are utilised to a different effect in the Dekorami range designed by Marcante-Testa for Ceramica Vogue. The collection contains three different 3D styles in a 250 by 250mm (10 by 10in) format. There are five colours available in a gloss surface and three with a satin finish.

The design focus is on simple geometric shapes which provide a classic look. Alongside the texture of the tiles, the rich colour palette creates real atmosphere in interior spaces.
