To help tile manufacturers maintain effective communications with customers across the world, and to provide some compensation for the cancellation Coverings, Diary of a Tile Addict has opened up our on-line communication platform to selected tile manufacturing colleagues around the world. We have contacted known and trusted tile brands to offer them one FREE post during an initial three month trial, covering April, May, and June 2020.

Today’s featured brand is Harmony; the influential and much-admired Spanish designer-tile brand. And Harmony has chosen one of the stand-out design from Cevisama: Bow. Bow was developed for Harmony by Mut Design. This striking and original 150 by 450mm wall tile collection was inspired by the typical roofs found in Mediterranean cities. A thoroughly modern take on traditional roof tiles, Bow stands out for its relief pattern and characteristic volume. It dazzles with the powerful interplay between reflected light and shade thanks to the Clay colour’s matt finish, and the bright gloss finish of the White and Azure designs. This terracotta-look collection recreates all the warmth of Mediterranean living, and is available in a range of formats for numerous layout options.

Bow really encapsulates Harmony’s avant-garde approach to interior design. Its wall and floor tile collections aspire to stand out from all the rest. With quality, innovation, and superior design as key values, Harmony offers ingenious tile solutions conceived to bring a distinctive touch of personality to settings. Harmony places particular emphasis on the design process, working with design studios world-wide to develop unique products. These studios share Harmony’s dedication to research, innovation, and pioneering ideas. As well as Mut Design, Raw Color, Jin Kuramoto, Yonoh, Stone Designs, Onset and Dsignio have all created exclusive collections for Harmony.

Mut is a design studio founded by Alberto Sanchez and Eduardo Villalon in 2010. This multi-disciplinary team embodies the principle of emotive design, utilising high doses of experimentation and imagination to redefine everyday objects. As well as Harmony, Mut has collaborated with Expormim, Peronda Group, EnticDesigns, Zaozuo, Plust Collection, Miras Editions and Sancal, among others. In 2012, Mut was selected to feature in Wallpaper magazine to represent “The New Wave” of Spanish designers and, in 2014 – 2017, was awarded with the Red Dot Award for product design.
