Hadiya Williams is the brains behind the wonderfully unique pieces, utilising over 15 years experience in graphic design, and combining ancient “West African art, modern western design, and ancestral memory.”
Each item is one-of-a-kind, with earrings, rings, necklaces, and brooches featuring rough organic shapes, curves, and earthy tones. The company’s last featured range was BPPCO.88 – a limited edition collection of 80s inspired designs. Beautifully stylish and intrinsically human, these pieces from Black Pepper Paperie Co. delight in every way.
But it’s not only ceramics that Williams lends her hand to. The beginnings of the company were rooted in stationery and event design with a keen focus on aesthetics. Later moving into clayware for the home and body (a Tile Addict’s dream), her talent demonstrates even further the many way ’tile’ can be fully embraced in all aspects of life.
The studio will reopen later this year, where more design delights will be showcased.
