Wielding the power of colour and taking mosaic mastery to dizzying heights is today’s featured artist – Hertfordshire-based Julie Edmunds. Beginning in textiles and moving across mediums into chalk, and finally into glass, Edmunds’s art has always made colour front and centre.

Her mosaic work varies texture and tone, mixing media and shapes to produce sublimely beautiful murals and masterpieces. Some artworks even feature specially made (by Edmunds) individual tesserae with spectacular, ethereal effects.

With past exhibitions and a few pieces currently on display at the Vitreus Art Gallery in Towcester, the wash of colour shows no signs of slowing.

Keep up with her work here.
