Weird and wonderful tiles are the lifeblood of Tile Addict and everytime we come across a new wacky design we simply have to share it. Sometimes we bundle them together into our Curiosities series, and sometimes they get a post all to themselves, like today.

Designed by French artist Louis Barthélemy for Balineum Tiles, Egyptomania is a collection of handpainted ceramic tiles created to present the vibrancy of contemporary Egypt whilst paying homage to the stylistic qualities of ancient art.

Muscled men, leaping lions and cheetahs, and various plants are depicted in intense colours and wonderful detail. Each artwork is made to order with countless compositions available to decorate walls, kitchen splashbacks, fireplace surrounds, and wet-rooms.
