We love to champion companies that focus on making the planet greener and work with waste to create and innovate. So today we celebrate UK-based Smile Plastics who began recycling plastics back in the 90s, offering sustainable solutions to countless companies over the years.
Since 2014 Smile Plastics has been led by award-winning design partners Adam Fairweather and Rosalie McMillan who have incorporated modern technologies and put their own stamp on the company’s portfolio.
Like most recycled plastic surface companies, the look of Smile Plastic’s products is decidedly terrazzo in its styling. Specks and flecks of diverse reclaimed materials peep through base colours, creating stylish, joyful designs.
Other, more simplistic surfaces take after marble, with coloured veins reaching through for a unique effect. Each panel is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable. They are all unique, waterproof, and hard wearing with freedom to refinish and reshape ‘final’ products.
