Her talents also spread to the wonderful world of ceramics where sculptures, pottery, and murals receive whimsical decoration and showcase a spirited imagination. The wiggly bending bodies, rough marks, and simple stripes seen throughout her work translate enticingly to tile.
Playing with texture and colour, large scale ceramic murals depicting mermaids and birds brim with life, drawing us into their world as they snake across the surface. These pieces, infused with Anaya’s warmth, tell stories with their movement and expressive, fluid forms.
