Six artists with tile as their canvas

Using tile in art is one thing, but putting your art on tile is another. Creating ceramic canvases that last forever, these artists are a Tile Addict’s dream.

1) Nikki Monaghan

Cheerful streets and townscapes decorate the delightfully dreamy cards and canvases of Nikki Monaghan. Some of these striking works were also selected for permanent perfection, printed onto ceramic tiles for functional art dripping in vivid vim. Read more about her work here.

2) Maude Made

Plants, wildlife, and whimsical scenes feature across Maude Made‘s many transfer printed tiles. Full colour or Delft inspired pieces in red or blue complete the three styles, made to be mixed and matched for fully unique installations. Read more about her work here.

3) Ramona Paloma Tile Studio

Whimsical pet portraits and personalised pieces form the tiles of Ramona Paloma Tile Studio. Made from traditional Cuerda Seca, these humorous and playful designs take inspiration from day-to-day life, dog walks, and joy, with cheeky quotes forming the finishing touch. Read more about their work here.

4) Carrie Reichardt

Created from reclaimed vintage tiles, the politically charged art tiles from The Treatment Rooms legend Carrie Reichardt feature witty slogans and curious imagery, with each piece re-fired with printed ceramic transfer to permanently add the oddness. Read more about her work here.

5) Isabelle Malo

Bold, beautiful, and bursting with nostalgic charm, the tile art of Isabelle Malo is one of a kind. Each of her ceramic art prints transfer the rich texture of canvas to a flat glossy surface, adding permanence to the vivid pigments and artistic strokes of her original paintings. Read more about her work here.

6) Rorex Bridges Studio

Representing her roots, Jeanne Rorex Bridges of Rorex Bridges Studio creates large tiled art triptychs, diptychs, and functional pieces featuring ‘Women of the Past’ with designs representing the stories and journeys of America’s native people. Read more about her work here.
