Seven moon tiles full of lunar loveliness

Today I’ve chosen to celebrate the Flower Moon (May’s full moon) with a little collection of lunar loveliness. Taking us through the full cycle, these moon-inspired tiles are made to add celestial magic to your home.

1) Phase to Phase

These waterjet mosaics from New Ravenna are part of Cean Irminger’s third Kiddo collection. Available in two colour ways – Orchid, Tiger Lily, and Magnolia, and Nero Marquina, matte Dahlia, polished Aurum, and White Onyx – these tiles mimic the rocky lunar surface with natural stone and a craquelle glaze with twinkling stars forming the corner joins between each piece.

2) Lunes

These cement creations from César Bazaar depict the waxing and waning of the moon across simple squares. A deep blue base reflects the night’s sky whilst cream and shadowy shades mimic the faces and phases of the moon.

3) Moon Phase

In soft cement shades and playful terrazzo, the Moon Phase collection from Aimeé Wilder shows the moon from full to new on stylish hexagons that can display the entire cycle as an artistic feature, or can scatter the crescents and circles across a room.

4) Chanda

A delightful trio of crescents spin spectacularly across these minimalist designs from Indian company Lioness Tiles. Earthy golden shades decorate twin moons with a darker contrast completing the look.

5) Talavera Moon

A characterful moon, complete with a face and freckled with stars, decorates these charming Mexican Talavera tiles from Casa Castillo. Vibrant yellows and shades of sky and midnight bring each tile to life, injecting whimsy and wonder into walls.

6) Eclipse

Bending crescents of every kind create a curious patchwork for Studio Latitude‘s Eclipse tiles. Soft earth tones set a chilled out vibe, rich and comforting, like a relaxed summer night.

7) Moon tiles

Hand-made beauties from Emu Tile, this three dimensional trio (Moon-Waning Crescent, Moon-Waxing Crescent, and Moon-Full) lets you trace the craters of the moon in miniature. Each tile measures just 2″ by 2″ with a wide variety of glazes to choose from to suit your moony needs. A full moon phase set of seven tiles is also available for unique interior installations.
