Bussoga: Beyond Brilliant

If you’re into unique, striking, and boundary-pushing art, today’s tile company feature is exactly what you need. Based in Girona, Spain, Bussoga blends the modular magic of mathematics with a wildly creative attitude, giving life to an enormous catalogue of incredible ceramics unlike any you have seen before.

Founded in 2010 by Josep Motas, who was later joined by Irina Grosu, Bussoga was created to fill a gap in a market that lacked humour. They are often joined by a range of collaborating artists to help add to their distinctive range of designs and murals.

Whimsical decors featuring beach bathers, startled eyeballs, olives, cannons, butts, and boobs, as well as unusual repeat motifs will all sorts of strange and surprising characters and subjects make up the bulk of Bussoga’s portfolio.

Alongside their unforgettable tiles and murals, Bussoga’s artistic talents have led to some of the world’s most unique multidimensional mosaics – Ghosts and Hotdogs. Designed to sit side by side – hotdog to hotdog and ghost to ghost – in a dramatic display, these 3D tiles are in a league of their own.
