Gretchen Kramp

Working with clay for over 20 years, Michigan-based Gretchen Kramp creates three dimensional handmade tiles decorated with cosy creatures and home comforts.

Each gently irregular piece measures between the tiny 2 x 2″ and more stately 8 x 8″, with diverse subjects, themes, and styles for a variety of tastes. Toast, cereal, and fried eggs serve up scenes for breakfast lovers whilst Mothman, Mermaids, and Medusa form legendary decoration.

Bugs, frogs, and flowers form delights for gardeners whilst mushrooms, moons, and acorns create an autumnal atmosphere. Whimsical tiles featuring green men, ghosts, and Humpty Dumpty offer a splash of fun whilst pie, cocktails, jellyfish, and more make up the many alternative decors created by Kramp.
