Laura Bird

With funky patterns and muted carnival tones, the ceramics of London-based illustrator and artist Laura Bird offer whimsy, function, and a 90s flair.

A colourful tesserae-effect design features across her collection, on vases, plates, and candlesticks, serving as a playful backdrop and contrasting against checkers, stripes, and starbursts for a curated maximal style.

3D relief noses and boobs serve as a fun signature along with snake and smile motifs that decorate her homeware. Although there are no tiles in the Laura Bird portfolio, her style is easily translatable and I’m holding out hope that we’ll see some gorgeous creations in the future!
