Following on from the recent post about the fruits of the creative collaboration between pioneering Indian manufacturer Tempesta, and Erin Adams, one of the most celebrated product designers in the United States, I would like to share a few images of Foundation.
For my money, this was one of single most desirable surface finishes on display at the recent Coverings exhibition at Orlando, USA. It was created by Adams, best known for her work for Ann Sacks Tile and Stone and for her ground breaking mosaic tile rug for Cynthia Steffe’s showroom.
With Foundation, Adams has asked Tempesta to draw deep on their expertise in luxury wall surfaces, which are created using state-of-the-art Italian technology married to exemplary hand-crafting techniques.
The end product is an exquisite leather tile collection redolent of the Speakeasies of the 1930s. Rugged yet sophisticated, the Foundation collection offers a time-worn feel that will warm up and enhance any interior. The tiles are available in 8in by 16in rectangles and 2in by 16in listellos. Suitable for residential, commercial and hospitality applications, these leather tiles are for interior wall use only.
