Marble-effect tiles have been an ever-present source of inspiration for tile designers; and the widespread adoption of high definition digital ink jet printing technology has only underlined the importance of this strand of design. Digital decoration, of course, allows near photographic reproduction of any marble but, at Cersaie 2017, the dominant theme was, once again, white faux marbles inspired by carrara, statuario, calacatta, volakas, thassos, colorado yule, afyon, sivec, mugla and the rest.
Glossy marble-looks continue to be strong in subtle, classic stones like these white marble varieties, although there seems to be a shift from the stark/dark veined statuario towards softer and more diffused calacatta or macael options.
One of the most impressive collections was seen on the Florim stand, which brought several of the groupβs brands together.
Following the success of its Timeless series, Cerim presented another six ranges inspired by the beauty of these natural materials. Antique Marble of Cerim unleashes the full dynamic force of marble, elegantly marrying ancient and modern without compromising functionality and performance.
The Antique Marble collection exploits a variety of finishes, sizes and colour themes to satisfy the demands of contemporary architecture and modern lifestyles, while maintaining a connection to this timeless materialβs historical roots.
The design/colour options are Ghost Marble, Pure Marble, Majestic Marble, Imperial Marble, Royal Marble, and Pantheon Marble.
The formats include 6mm thick 800 by 2,400mm Magnum Oversize panels in both matt and gloss; plus 10mm thick tiles in 800 by 800, 400 by 800, 600 by 1,200, 600 by 600, and 300 by 600mm modular formats, again matt or gloss; plus a 300 by 600mm ooption with a structured finish.
