Antique Marble of Cerim

Marble-effect tiles have been an ever-present source of inspiration for tile designers; and the widespread adoption of high definition digital ink jet printing technology has only underlined the importance of this strand of design.  Digital decoration, of course, allows near photographic reproduction of any marble but, at Cersaie 2017, the dominant theme was, once again, white faux marbles inspired by carrara, statuario, calacatta, volakas, thassos, colorado yule, afyon, sivec, mugla and the rest.

Glossy marble-looks continue to be strong in subtle, classic stones like these white marble varieties, although there seems to be a shift from the stark/dark veined statuario towards softer and more diffused calacatta or macael options.
