Studio Latitude

My first look at the vibrant work of Brazilian tile company Studio Latitude was during an Instagram ‘research’ sesh, when I stumbled upon this (pictured below, and featured in our most recent Get the Look post), an intensely joyful, sunshine-filled shower decorated in tiles I didn’t recognise.

Although the company wasn’t tagged in the post, a quick reverse image search revealed the tile design – Amazonia Visto De Cima – for those interested, and led me to the playful world of Studio Latitude.

Like many cement tile design studios we’ve talked about, Studio Latitude’s portfolio is packed with creativity and charm. Pairing striking colours, unusual shapes, and whimsical patterns, each piece is made for impact.

Personal highlights include the playful Cinco Cogumelos (Five Mushrooms) featuring simple mushrooms in customisable heights, Mãos Separadas (Hands Apart) with their outstretched hands and bendy arms, and the doggy design of Egipt (Egypt).

Other captivating repeat motifs such as Cyber Café I, De quem é esse chão? (Whose floor is this?), and Barbados feature, as well as scattered designs such as Olhos De Coelho (Rabbit Eyes), Atelier Urihi I, and Baja (Low).

For those looking for something completely unique, Studio Latitude also offer wonderful one offs made custom for clients, with prior works including an adorable cow design, and a striking jaguar print.
