Aiming to preserve the timeless traditions and techniques of Moroccan craftsmanship, artist and designer Bouchra Boudoua reinterprets these skills to create pieces that honour their roots whilst imagining styles for the modern day.
Based in Marrakech and Casablance, Bouchra collaborates with local potters to form ceramic bowls, plates, lamps, and vases that are as beautiful as they are functional.
Alongside the homeware, Bouchra also creates artworks and murals, including TRIBU, a series of 3 ceramic totems for the “Crafting Design Futures” exhibition in Doha’s Museum of Islamic Art and large three dimensional mixed media pieces on ceramic.
