From tiles made of snail poop to those that to look like body parts, the tile world is full of wacky wonders. Here are five more to enjoy.
1) Królik
Filling a void in the decadent, intricately detailed wall covering sphere, Polish tile company Królik‘s offerings feature 3D designs made to create striking, unique, and wonderfully colourful interiors full of whimsy and wonder.

2) Poop to Tile from Yuma Kano
Yep, we’ve got more wacky poop-related tile wonders to share. This time – the poop is human! Utilising ash made from the watery sludge left behind from sewage treatment, Kano experiments with ratios and temperature to create a striking array of unusual glazes.

3) Algae from Materials Assemble
In another innovation from Materials Assemble, this collection of six bio-based algae tiles feature rich, earthy shades and a variety of enticing visuals that appear as light filtering through muddy waters.

4) Dazed and Glazed
Using an innovative process to fuse a thin veneer of glass onto a ceramic tile surface, Brett Stern of Dazed and Glazed places various blobs of colour to create unusual patterns that bubble in bold shades. Forming swirls, geometrics, and landscape inspired scenes, each tile is unique, and each composition its own.

5) Courtyard ceiling
Across the wall and ceiling of a bathhouse in the old town of Brixen flow a sea of three dimensional double-ended ceramic hands. Created by Karak in a collaboration with artist Michael Fliri and architecture firm Bergmeisterwolf, this unusual installation represents connection and exchange.
