Where do you put a collection of salons, bars, and guesthouses specifically selected for their delightful use of tile? Right here, in today’s post!
1) Naumi Studio Wellington in Wellington, Australia
Steeped in rich pigments, Art Deco accents, and intriguing material combinations, this boutique hotel holds 116 rooms, and a range of hosting spaces artfully curated by Material Creative with a moody, maximal ambience. For the eagle-eyed Tile Addict a few treats can be found, including the mosaic disco ball table, the stripes of many hues that skirt the bar, and the black and white zig zags that decorate the floor of the Parlour.

2) Curly Lab in Barcelona, Spain
Designed by Miriam Barrio Studios, this curly hair specialist salon is given a warm, earthy feel with organic textures and comforting tones. Curves feature throughout the space, skilfully tiled in glossy copper toned tiles that ground the space whilst the vaulted ceiling is accentuated with raw brick and terracotta walls.

3) Loma Bar in Rhode Island, USA
Deep amber colour drenching fills this cosy cocktail bar by New York-based Studio Becky Carter. Lime washed walls, caramel velvet cushions, and lacquered mahogany pair with terracotta flooring and matching tiled side tables for a dreamy space that calls you in for a nightcap.

4) Cona in London, UK
Vibrant shades of orange and blue playfully zone this London nail bar and coffee shop designed by TiggColl. Soft neutrals and earthy tones create a sense of comfort whilst Cona’s bold colours carries the salon’s branding throughout. Light terrazzo floors add practical texture whilst the tiled half-walls mirror the interior’s warmth and whimsy with their orange and cream capsule shape.

5) Mesonia in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
This striking, hand-crafted space is an immersive experience designed to absorb you inside the essence of creative studio Mestiz. Boldly decorated in intense colours, unusual shapes, and bespoke furnishings, this stunning suite is a sensation. Offering something for Tile Addict’s beyond the beauty of the interior, squares of chocolate ceramics coat the kitchenette’s splashback, top and tail the bathroom, and cover the fireplace.
