I was hoping to gather a range of fun and festive tiles to match the bunch I collected for Halloween but it seems that Christmas time isn’t as tile-heavy as I thought. However, there are two companies keeping the holiday spirit alive – Petra Palumbo and Motawi Tileworks – so instead we’ll just enjoy their Christmassy offerings!
1) Christmas Tree and Festive Wreath
Petra Palumbo puts her delightful Delft skills to stunning use with this delightful pair of handmade ceramic tiles. Available in both 125 by 125mm and 150 by 150mm, in Palumbo’s sophisticated palette of colours, they can be fully festive in red and green, or chosen to match your tastes.

2) Crackers and Mistletoe
Create an entire Christmas-themes set of coasters or decors with Petra Palumbo’s Crackers and Mistletoe tiles. Subtle nods to the holiday can be included in permanent installations, or switched out as seasonal upgrades. Like with all Palumbo’s delft tiles, they are available in both 125 by 125mm and 150 by 150mm, in a stylish palette of colours.

3) Christmas Cardinal and Perfect Tree
Perfectly matched in tone and theme, these two tiles from Motawi Tileworks are both based on works by artist Charley Harper. A gorgeously crazed off white background serves as the perfect setting for woodland wonder and festive cheer.

4) Christmas Spirit and Wreath
Another work based on a Charley Harper print, Christmas Spirit rings in the season in winter tones and a stylised scene. Wreath offers simple, stunning seasonal cheer in bold reds and greens that welcome family and friends to the party.

5) Dard Hunter Tree and Nutcracker
Spied on a Dard Hunter glass panel, this minimalist Christmas tree is both festive and fabulous. Dard Hunter’s art and design also inspired this image of a classic nutcracker who stands proud, waiting patiently for Christmas.

6) St Nick and Snowman
This unexpected pair – a portrait of St Nick based on a postcard designed by ceramic artist Susi Singer and a profile of a snowman based on a print by Yoshiko Yamamoto – offer playful designs from diverse corners of the globe. Both charming and whimsical, they feature two greats of the Christmas season.

7) Cubist Christmas and Gift Rapt
Inspired by a 1926 Art Deco pattern from Kaléidoscope: Ornements Abstraits by French designer Maurice Pillard Verneuil, Cubist Christmas offers captivating holiday geometrics. The trio of racoons in Gift Rapt are another Charley Harper-inspired creation, spreading joyful whimsy.
