Blue Curve Interior

2020’s trendy blue marble is the focal point for Roca Tile‘s space in Madrid’s Casa Decor building. Masquespacio, the ever trendy design agency we have previously featured here, created the space as an ode to interio decor, emphasising the role of ceramics and paying homage to the Greco-Roman architectural tradition.

The gorgeous space is centred around the large circular blue marble wall decor with the colour palette embracing pastels. White, blue/indigo, and peach work together harmoniously, with luxury provided by the marble veining and gold accents.

The space is both classic and modern, offering timelessness alongside its elegance. The curves present in the walls and furniture have a surreal quality, whilst the colours, materials and accents offer the space’s title its meaning – “A Look to the Future from the Past” is extremely apt with marbles from antiquity, feathers, collumns, and layout each offering an element that excites the imagination evoking images of times past and times to come.

The space is highly impactful, demonstrating the striking quality of vibrant marbles and the richness that exudes from the material. The marble-effects offer the same depth of feeling as the real deal, it’s glistening nature replicated in porcelain, with additional distinctive qualities and colours created for magical and a supernatural impact.

The pieces used for the interior are Marble Nouveau and Marble Parana. The pillars, tables, and additional wall decors are formed in blue, white, and grey colour variants demonstrating the variety afforded by porcelain and ceramic tiles. Acting as an exhibition space, these decors act as a showcase for new Roca Tile collections displaying “exceptionally bright marbles, solid-coloured pieces, patterns, meshes and tiles that represent endless decorative possibilities” and the material’s ability “to project a coherent aesthetic upon integrated spaces and offer unique environments.”
