Trending Colours for 2024

The trends continue with our rundown of the favourite shades for 2024. We’ve already looked at all the Colours of the Year that companies have chosen, but there are also a few shades that weren’t selected that are still set to take centre stage. Here they all are!

1) Brown

Rich, earthy, and an unusual choice, brown is supposedly a hot colour for 2024. Splashed on accent walls, colour drenching in chocolate and coffee, or featuring across soft furnishings and decor, a love of brown marks the final step in the current obsession with 70s revival.

2) Blush

With soft pinky shades selected by both Pantone and Dulux for 2024’s Colour of the Year, blush is looking like a muted take on 2023’s Barbiecore trend, subtle, sophisticated, cosy, and comforting.

3) Soft Black

Chosen by Behr for 2024 with their colour Cracked Pepper, soft blacks that balance the deep darkness with a gentle, light elegance are looking to have their moment this year.

4) Chartreuse

Coming from left field, the radioactive limey green Chartreuse and its darker, earthier cousins have been singled out as a colour family that 2024 is going to love. Full of mystery and wonder, this enigmatic shade adds immediate character and a touch of spice.

5) Joyful Colours

Encompassing almost the entire colour wheel, joyful colours will fill 2024 with fun, happiness, and vibrancy. Aquamarine, magenta, tangerine, sunshine yellow, and all the rest are offering up a carnival of colour.
