Maximalism. Scandi Chic. Hellenistic Revival. Quiet Luxury. Interior styles and aesthetics come and go, drifting in and out of fashion and leaving behind their best features to be reimagined and reintroduced year after year. So what are people going to be choosing for 2024? Let’s find out.
1) Dopamine Decor
Dopamine Decor became big at the tail end of last year, strutting into the design sphere hand-in-hand with Dopamine Dressing. We’re all looking for happiness anywhere we can find it and if all it takes is a bit of flashy colour and some playful prints to boost our mood, that’s what we’re going to do.

2) Rough Luxury/Rough Luxe
Coming in on the coat tails of Quiet Luxury (understated, high quality, and chic), Rough Luxury adds the textures and delights of organic materials into the mix, offering up rugged finishes and earthier tones. Think raw edges, hand crafted goods, intentional imperfections, and authentic wear.

3) Warm Minimalism
This simple style takes the tenets of minimalism but adds a drop of homeliness into the mix, opting for warm beige over cool grey, wood over stone, and organic shapes over clean lines.

4) Colour Drenching
Pick a colour and go wild. Colour drenching is all about immersing yourself inside a shade by filling a room with matching walls, floors, ceiling, furniture, and decor. Shades can vary, as can textures, accents, and statement features, but the overwhelming vibe should be of living inside a paint tube of whatever colour you have chosen.
