Located on the outskirts of one of the most densely populated cities of the State of Alabama, USA, Brookwood Village is an enormous shopping mall. It covers an area of approximately 70,000 sq. metres and has been recently redeveloped to become a real reference point for the territory. From food and beverage to fashion, sport and footwear brands, it now offers the citizens of Birmingham the answer to their retail needs seven days a week; as well as a fruit and vegetable market and a leisure area.

The American architecture and design studio Tvs-design was responsible for this refurbishment project. Tvs-design selected Ceramiche Caesar and its porcelain stoneware as the ideal partner for the supply of the indoor floor covering material. Caesar was specified for the combination of aesthetic quality and technical performance, essential for an area subject to heavy daily pedestrian traffic.

The Root wood-effect ceramic tile range was chosen for the common indoor environments, to adding a touch of nature, energy and consumer appeal. It features in a 300 by 1,200mm format in the Nocciola colour option. This Caesar design captures, in a particularly authentic manner, all the features of hand-crafted wood and yet interprets this precious natural material in a manner that makes it suitable for adding elegance and warmth to this cavernous space.
