Bigger is better may well prove, once again, to be the maxim at Cersaie 2017. Certainly RAK Ceramics believes that bigger is better, and will be using the Bologna event to showcase a completely new range of Maximus Mega Slabs specifically designed for floor, wall and worktop applications. These new collections take Maximus Mega Slabs to the next level and come in many new sizes and thicknesses.
Currently there are three main Maximus collections; Classic, Wood and Uni. Maximus Classic features classy marble and granite patterns featuring elegant veins. The Classic range is available in 1,350 by 3,050mm, 1,200 by 2,400mm and 1,200 by 1,200mm formats with thickness of 14.5 and 12.5mm. The colour options are grey, beige, dark brown, white and black.
Maximus Wood is a range of exquisite extra-large format slabs with the look and feel of natural wood but, as with most porcelain alternatives, without the maintenance. The range comes in wide choice of designs and colours. These highly durable slabs are fire-, insect- and water-resistant. Anchor Wood can be used on floors, walls, commercial applications and façades. Design/colour options are oak, beige, brown, light grey, nut and anthracite. Maximus Wood plank tiles are 290 by 2,400mm and have a smooth, matt, rectified finish.
Produced in formats up to 1,350 by 3,050mm in a choice of solid colours, Maximus Uni slabs are full-body porcelain tiles for walls, floors or façades. They can also be used as a replacement for kitchen worksurfaces or bathroom vanity units. Maximus Uni is available in a range of sizes and thicknesses, making it RAK’s most versatile product yet. The colour options are Mega white, light beige, beige, ivory, light grey, dark grey, dark black and dark blue. The three formats are 1,200 by 1,200, 1,200 by 2,400 and 1,350 by 3,050mm. All come in a smooth, matt, rectified finish.
The 1950s will also provide some inspiration on RAK’s stand, with the global tile superpower promising to unveil a completely new range of novelties inspired by 1950s iconic industrial interior design. The Vintage concept focuses on minimal design, stylish shapes and beautiful shining surfaces. Should be worth a look!
