Peronda always offers a design surprise or two. This post looks at just two of the many ranges that caught Tile Addict’s attention at Cevisama.
FS Briati, a porcelain range by furniture and interior designer Francisco Segarra, combines two concepts from the same design trend to highly decorative effect: cement effects and vintage cement tiles in a 452 by 452mm format. The plain-coloured cement-effect field tile stands out for its strong shade variation; while, the décor emulates four smaller tiles that combine cement with a worn pattern reminiscent of traditional cement tiles in random compositions.
The FS Rialto porcelain tile collection, also designed for Peronda by Francisco Segarra, is based on an innovative visual idea: a mix of cement and stone in a whole new take on terrazzo tiles.
The field tile, Fs Rialto, is a cement-effect tile, conspicuous for its carefully conceived design, shade variation and attention to detail. The other model, Fs Rialto Decor, features the same cement background, decorated with incrusted stones of varying colours, in different proportions depending on the tile. These two models work beautifully both on their own or in combination. Here again the format is 452 by452mm.
