Refined Relief from Smink Studio

We’ve been looking for a reason to talk about the fantastic tiles of Marianne Smink since first covering her work here in 2017. And finally we have one! A new collection and addition to Smink Things’ (now Smink Studio) beautiful portfolio has well and truly reignited our love for all things Smink.

The new Relief Tiles are each handmade and pressed into one of three shaped moulds. These simple designs make for a spectacularly understated feature, with shadow altering each tile’s appearance and the charming variety of tone in each glaze creating the characteristic originality of Smink Studio’s tiles.

A vast array of colour choices encourage mixing and matching with ten light neutrals and fifteen brighter, richers tones to select. The chosen shapes of the Relief tiles are stylistically matched with various other Smink Studio ranges (notably Eclipse, After Lowry, and Recubed) allowing for even more mixing and matching across collections.

Each tile is 140 by 140mm and 10mm thick. With their 100% waterproof glazing the tiles can be used in kitchens, bathrooms, showers, and swimming pools, as well as outdoors.
