Encouraging community with their Buy Back Program and creating unique products from inevitable waste, skater craftsmen in the USA are filling a fine niche. Deckstool, founded by brothers Jason and Adam Podlaski, takes used and broken skateboards and gives them a whole new life.
With their Broken Skateboard Buy Back Program the company ensures a steady supply of materials whilst partnering with skate shops and skateparks all across the states to prevent as many ‘spent decks’ as possible from ending up in landfill.
Predominantly producing stools, unique furniture items, and small decor items, they also create 3D wall tiles featuring the varied artworks from the bottom of boards. Squares, hexagons, and large rectangles are all offered as well as fishscale style Skater Shake and the decorative Woven designs.
