This is the time of year when Tile Addicts really start to anticipate Cersaie, and the new ceramic tile design trends that will be on show in Bologna.

For 2026, Marca Corona hints at one likely design direction with its Sedimenta concept. Playing into the current search for authenticity and naturalness, Marca Corona sees Sedimenta as time itself, deposited in exquisite strata.
As well as a clear reference to sedimentary rock, Sedimenta occupies a dimension where memory and future intersect. It also explores the balance between Italian tiling heritage and contemporary technical evolution.

Featuring clever layering, this material embraces variation and structural depth, and serves as the unifying concept across all the new collections Marca Corona will present at Cersaie 2026: surfaces that celebrate tactile textures, colour plays, juxtapositions, patterns, and balance. Textured, graphic and chromatic layers work in harmony, backed by versatile solutions that combine distinct finishes and sizes.

Previewed at Coverings, this design path includes two distinct, yet complementary, product launches. Arkislate is a stone-effect range inspired by slate. It offers fine detail, tactile depth, and three-dimensionality through micro-inclusions of minerals and fossils. Designed for both indoor and outdoor application, it features four versatile sizes alongside a decor version.

The other new range is Miniature Aroma, an expansion of Marca Corona’s 60 by 240mm brick tile offer. This collection shifts the focus from the individual tile to the overall wall composition. Each variant is said to be insp[ired by a unique sense of smell – a novel concept in itself – achieved by pairing three harmonised colour tones sold in co-ordinated sets.
