Casa Caesar

Architects Guglielmo Renzi and Barbara Fontana have worked closely with Italian manufacturer Ceramiche Caesar to create the New Caesar Gallery, the company’s extended and renovated showroom at its headquarters in Fiorano Modenese.

At 1,200 sq. metres, the new showroom is almost twice the size of the facility it has  superseded.  It has been divided into two floors, which feature exhibition and work spaces, as well as an impressive reception area and spaces for specific displays.  The showroom has been designed to be a new interpretation of the company’s products and its aim is to captivate the visitor in the same manner as an art exhibition.

The visitor’s journey starts by revisiting the existing roomsets dedicated to the presentation of five Caesar collections and to CaesarTech, the company’s technical brand that provides technical tiling solutions for architects and construction companies.  This space, which has been substantially renovated, leads to a room dedicated to the extra large slabs of Project Evolution.  Here the environment recalls a modern museum: ceramic surfaces as works of art.

The ground floor continues with seven rooms presenting the new collections.  The inspiration and innovation came from Elegant Contrast by Luca Paviglianiti: the project that won the first edition of the Cross Design Contest 2017.  These new spaces are characterised by deluxe yet functional aesthetics.

A contemporary helical staircase leads to the first floor: after the reception area, dedicated to relaxation and refreshment – with television, pool table and bar – the design concept of the New Caesar Gallery ends with the Architect Room. Created to provide a comfortable space for meetings between designers and in-house technicians, it is equipped with the latest technology to offer multimedia presentations and customised access to the solutions and collections offered by Ceramiche Caesar.

All in all, the New Caesar Gallery allows visitors to take a journey through ceramic products of character and charm, while getting to know this ambitious Modenese brand.
