Get the Look: Terrazzo

Loved since antiquity, terrazzo has a certain presence. It offers both decor and practicality in any number of colour combinations, speckle sizes or stone types and can be used to enhance spaces both little and large. Here are a few of those spaces to get you inspired, and a few tile matches to help you recreate the look at home.

1) Blue Base

A soft blue surface punctuated by large jagged white rocks and softened pebble shapes, this space brings the drama in the friendliest way possible. Get the look with Blue Terrazzo from Huguet Mallorca, Medley Rock Blue from Ergon, or Azure LMC + LYC Large Marble + Large Yellow from Concrete Collaborative.

2) Earthy Specks

Muted earth tones in shades of brown, peach, and dark green scatter themselves across the plain off-white surface for a space that blends modern elegance with down-to-earth design. Get the look with Coarse Terrazzo Tile from Bert and May, Wild WL4 from Terrazzo Tiles, or Mini Stellacietta Terrazzo Nacar from British Ceramic Tile.

3) Colour Contrast

Adding bright pops of natural colour to a moody black surface, this kitchen floor is both playful and functional. Get the look with Wild W1L from Terrazzo Tiles, TE081B from Diespeker & Co, or Schegge Grafite Deco from Ceramica Fioranese.

4) Blue Freckle

Scattering the wall organic shades of stone and bursts of blue, these terrazzo tiles add a little fun without being too distracting. Get the look with BPBFREG01 from Blueprint Ceramics, Medley Classic White from Ergon, or Lucca White Natural from Johnson Tiles.
