Cevisama Curiosities: Pinkish

Today’s family of Curiosities are all a little pink. Muted but earthy, calming yet colourful, these tiles all have shades of pink in common, each presenting them in unique, textured ways.

This wall of curated earth tones and neutrals was a show highlight for me, purely because of the colours selected. Decocer‘s elongated metro Harlem tiles come in 11 colours including blues, greens, and greys, as well as the wonderfully warm orange and pink tones presented here. Each with a dark border, there’s something about these tiles that is extremely comforting.

One of the shows most curious wood-look tiles, Oldwood from Mainzu offered up textured ripples and ridges alongside an unusual selection of colours, As well as a white and grey variaiton, Oldwood comes in a variety of sea greens and an extremely playful pink (the photograph doesn’t do it justice) patched randomly with pockets of blue and green.

These faux bricks from El Molino come in a few standard colour options – White and Cotto – as well as two unusual mixes including the those featured below. Beverley Colors creates a patchwork of white, blue, mustard, muddy green, and pink with deep mortar lines and randomly textured ‘bricks’.

Da Vinci‘s Yosemite Multicolor is another wood-look with an entirely different vibe. Uber long, thin planks (45 by 470mm) complete with kerf marks make up the collection, with Yosemite Multicolor offering up some unusual shades as decor.

Amongst the solid colours and textured reliefs, Halcon‘s Terra range also features three curvy adobe-style patchwork decors in Azul, Blanco, and Fuoco (fire). Fuoco’s earthy palette is made up of shades of brown, beige, dark terracotta, and a muted pink, all mixing and matching together with touches of wear and pigment variation.
